The ACES Treatment and Learning Center (TLC) offers a wide range of services to individuals from the greater New Haven area. American Gymnastics

American Gymnastics offers classes, a competitive program, birthday parties and summer programs.
Recreational program is designed for ages 2 years through adult, these classes meet one or more times per week. We start with the basics, and work the students through progressions of skills, effectively and safely.

Bradley Mountain Farm

Bradley Mountain Farm is located on a 200-year-old dairy farm, next to Crescent Lake, that is on the registry of National Historical Places. Camp CONNRI

Camp CONNRI is a 272-acre camp for The Salvation Army in Connecticut and Rhode Island, located in Ashford, CT. The American Legion Auxiliary, Post # 72, in Southington, covers the cost for qualified Southington children between the ages of 7 – 12 to go to camp for four nights and five days. FAST Camp

F.A.S.T. Camp is a unique multi-sport, co-ed summer day camp with locations in Southington, Meriden, and Wallingford. Registration typically opens in February and weekly sessions go from June through August.
F.A.S.T. combines physical education games, sports, exercise, recess, arts and crafts, and team-building activities for grades 1-8. A CIT program is offered for grades 9-12. Camp runs from 9 am to 3 pm with, extended hours available.
FAST Jr. is for fully potty trained campers that are not entering 1st grade yet.

FAST is a fully insured State Licensed Day Camp and all employees are First Aid and CPR certified. They accept the Care4Kids childcare subsidy.

SCCYMCA Camp Sloper

The YMCA Camp Sloper property is open to the public on Sundays and has a playground, hiking trails, Ninja Warrior Course, basketball courts, letterboxing, Frisbee golf course, lake for fishing and exploring, and the "Super Slide."
Their new splash pad is open to the public in the summer on Sundays from noon to 4 pm.
YMCA Camp Sloper can be rented for private events including birthday parties, team building programs or other rentals.

The YMCA Camp Sloper day camp program serves over 3,100 campers each summer, roughly 600+ campers per day. The program and facility are broken down into two program areas: the East Coast for younger campers in grades K-5 and the West Coast for older campers in grades 6-9. A Counselors-In-Training program is offered for those entering grade 10. A Pre-K program that runs from 9am-1pm is offered for 3 and 4 year olds.
Each coast has specifically trained staff members, activities, and facilities designed to meet the needs of that particular age group.

The Southington Public Library has more than just books. You can also check out videos, CDs, games, backpacks of educational materials, shaped cake pans and more.
The Children's department has a puppet theater, computers with educational programs, train table, blocks and other toys.
Their children's programs are free to attend; though the more popular programs do require you to sign up beforehand and to put down a refundable deposit (which you get back when you attend the program! It just saves your spot!).

Southington Public School’s Summer School Programs

Southington Public Schools offers a variety of summer school remedial and enrichment programs from elementary through high school.
The "Camp Invention" summer enrichment program for elementary students (and middle school Counselors in Training) which runs July - early August , usually opens registration in January. Sign up early, the program usually fills up by early March.

The Southington Recreation Department offers a variety of programs for youth and adults including baseball, softball, basketball, lacrosse, football, soccer, tennis lessons, swimming lessons, Music on the Green Concert series, summer playground program (aka as camp), summer theater and more.

Registration the Summer Theater and Summer Playground programs usually opens in March.
The Playground Program is open to Southington resident children, ages 5-12. The program is held rain or shine, Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, at South End Elementary School & Recreation Park. The program is comprised multiple, 2-week sessions. Each child may be registered for a maximum of two sessions.

Their Kid's Entertainment Series is held on Tuesday evenings in the summer from 6-8 PM at the Community Pavilion on the Southington Drive-In property, 995 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, Plantsville. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy an evening of free entertainment. All ages are welcome!

Southington Town pools and the splash pad at Memorial Park are open seasonally to Southington residents only; however, each resident with proper ID may bring one (1) non-resident guest. Registration for swimming lessons at Recreation and Memorial Parks usually opens in May and June.

The Coder School

The Coder School is an in person coding school for kids ages 7 to 18. They offer small ratio classes and semi private lessons. The lessons are an hour long and they provide coding accounts where students are able to code from home. The weekly lessons are offered after school. The Coder School offers summer camps during the summer which are Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. Languages taught range from: block coding, Python, Java, Minecraft, HTML/CSS, Roblox, Robotics, Virtual Reality and more.

USA Ninja Challenge

USA Ninja Challenge is a year-round obstacle course training program that combines basic skill sets from gymnastics, climbing, cross-training, and track and field. The sport of Ninja is quickly becoming the most fun and creative way to meet the physical needs of today’s kids! Ninja Challenge is open to boys and girls ages 4 to 17.
The class program has 6 levels to master, and each level has 27 different skills. Ninjas that demonstrate their mastery of skills advance to the next level of training. Each Ninja progresses according to their own abilities. The purpose of the program is to build a Ninja’s self-esteem, confidence, and sense of accomplishment one obstacle at a time.
Camps are offered during the summer and several school-related vacation weeks. Camps serve kids and young teens ages 6-13.

Wallingford Family YMCA

The Wallingford Family YMCA offers a variety of programs at two campuses.

The YMCA Learning Community at Choate, formerly known as Tot Time, was founded by the Wallingford Family YMCA in 1989. It is located in the Bronfman building and accommodates 80 full-time children. The preschool serves as a laboratory for Choate students taking child development courses. YLC at Choate is open Monday-Friday from 7:00AM-6:00PM.

The YMCA Learning Community at Masonicare is located in the former Child Development Center on the Masonicare Health Center campus. The center is designed to provide care for 49 full-time children and is nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Children are involved in an intergenerational program with residents of Masonicare Health Center and Masonicare at Ashlar Village. YLC at Masonicare is open Monday-Friday from 6:30AM-5:30PM
