Cannabis Safety | ||
Recreational use of cannabis has been legal in Connecticut since 2021, and as of January 10th, 2023, retail sale of cannabis is legal. It is essential to remember that while you can have cannabis in your home, you should treat it like any other medication or substance you wouldn’t want your children to get into.
If you think your child or pet may have accidentally ingested cannabis: Call your healthcare provider or the Connecticut Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222. If they become unconscious or have trouble breathing, walking, or sitting up, call 9-1-1 right away.
